This external drive works just great, it is just plug and play. It burns CD's and DVD's very fast, It comes with a Y usb cable so you can plug in two usb cables if your laptop doesnt draw enough power. I got along just fine with one USB for everything. Overall it is a great product for a very good price.

Received a great deal through Amazon with the new Chase credit card promotional rebate; and rebate from Azus. Package received in a reasonable time. Worked well out of the box. Burning software supplied worked well. Requires a codec download to watch DVD's, but I found a free one that worked well. I used it to install windows on an old laptop with a bad optical drive.

I purchased this for my ASUS Eee netbook. I use the two USB methood which works great. I would recommend it as a good exteranl DVD drive for any laptop.
